The new network Food Innovation Hubs is a multistakeholder-platform catalyzed and supported by the World Economic Forum and various global and regional partners, among which the Ministries of Agriculture and of Economic Affairs and Climate, Unilever, DSM, Rabobank and Wageningen University & Research. Companies are welcome to join the cooperation.
The initiative binds the parties that need technology and innovations to organizations that develop it and candidates that can finance it and scale up, beyond traditional boundaries. That way, Food Innovation Hubs wants to provide solutions with which system problems can be countered. For example through connecting innovators from different geographical areas; cooperation between local innovators and other parties involved in nutrition systems; and the acquiring of investments for local innovation.
